2. Alignment is …

Integral Presence consists of 21 aspects from which the first three are the foundations. Mindfulness is the first of these three foundations and alignment is the second one. They are both very complimentary as mindfulness invites alignment and alignment deepens, strengthens and stabilizes mindfulness.

What is alignment?

Alignment allows you to access and mobilize all the inner resources of strength, focus, balance, and more in the here and now. When you let these natural capacities work together as one coherent and harmonious whole, it becomes natural to open up to the full life-force potential, such as zest for life, vitality, creative inspiration, flow, joy of life, your own fullness and the highest potential of you as a person, or in one word, your true being. By aligning you release your full potential from the inside, and it becomes the basis for your choices and flow in all areas of your life.
Our alignment corresponds actually with the intentionality behind all our thoughts, feelings, choices, actions, words, deeds and self-expressions.

Initiation
In the Integral Presence approach, we take alignment at large, meaning, it envisions to address and kindle the whole spectrum of our human potential. In order to cover the complete range of this inner resource, we cultivate 5 significant aspects of alignment: centering, grounding, soul connection, individuation point and lining it all up. Or in other words:
  1. centeredness
  2. grounding
  3. soul integrity (soul connection)
  4. spirit integrity (individuation point)
  5. integral wholeness (aligning all in one coherent whole)

Intentionality

In philosophy “intentionality” is defined by the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy as “the power of minds to be about, to represent, or to stand for, things, properties and states of affairs”. (Jacob, P. Aug 31, 2010).

In the IP context, I define “intentionality” as the direction we consciously and unconsciously give to our creative power in every present moment on every level and dimension of our being.

As Barbara Brennan puts it: “When you have aligned your first point of individuation from the godhead with your soul’s sacred longing and with the one note with which you have drawn your body up from your mother the earth, you have aligned yourself with your life purpose.  You may not even know what it is, but you are aligned with it, and your actions will automatically be synchronistic with it as long as you remain aligned.”

” Excellence is never an accident. It is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, and intelligent execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives – choice, not chance, determines your destiny.
