Immersion March 29th 2017

As before we started the immersion today with basic mindfulness: simply being aware of what is. The group expressed their ease with the first exercise and following this we jumped towards quite an advanced exercise: observing the observer. Although challenging, this exercise evoked a lot of valuable insights. Sincere sharing revealed how different and unique each person’s experience was from the same commonly shared exercise.

The depth of personal sharing I heard, kindled a fond gratitude in me for the trust that people were showing each other spontaneously. In this space of confidence we moved deeper into body awareness. The safety in the group allowed us to go further then a regular body scan. The gate was open for exercising body awareness through direct perception.

After this practice, again, honest personal sharing showed a strikingly intimate atmosphere for such a short interval of connecting.

We concluded this immersion session with a small introduction into energy awareness.

  1. Integral presence is a very nice surprise in the heart of the European neighborhood; a place of stillness much needed in a hectic world. I highly recommend Jan for his beautiful presence, just allow him to guide you through a journey of inner discovery. His approach provides structured guidance but also leaves a lot of space for inner self exploration. I felt more connected to myself at the end of the session and more present to my life. I mostly enjoyed sharing my thoughts with an open minded and kind group of people in a beautiful space.

  2. With Integral Presence, Jan helps us to connect to ourselves and to each other in a very effective way. His wonderful presence allowed us to open up and enabled us during several short exercises to have quite profound experiences. I was pleasantly surprised and I am grateful to Jan, the kind hosts and the other participants for their dedication and warm presence.

  3. I was (again) grateful for the subtle guidance by Jan and the open support from the group (field) which enabled me to really explore and sense awareness, especially in the challenging exercise with direct perception in the body (instead of thinking about it). These short IP sessions during my (extended) lunch pause inspire and support me to (find ways in order to) become more present between the sessions. Thanks to Jan, the hosts and the group.
